Michael Willis – Managing Partner.
Founding the firm in 1999 he has overseen its expansion into one of the largest criminal practices in the region. He has spent his entire 25 year career specialising in criminal defence cases and is a Higher Court Solicitor Advocate who appears in both the Magistrates and Crown Court. He is a Duty Solicitor.

Michael Whitworth – Partner
Formerly head of the criminal law department at Irwin Mitchell solicitors, he and his legal team joined GWB in 2006. He is a Higher Court Advocate and a highly successful trial lawyer. He is a Duty Solicitor and is involved in VHCC/Serious fraud work.

Michael Jones – Partner
He has over 30 years experience as a criminal advocate. He has just retired as Chairman of The Criminal Law Solicitors Association which represents criminal lawyers nationally. As such he is actively involved in protecting the future of publically funded legal aid. He is a Duty Solicitor.

Andrew Dalrymple – Partner
A highly skilled court advocate and an expert legal tactician. He has experience of dealing with the most serious cases in the Magistrates and Youth Courts and has an unparalleled track record of success. He is a Duty Solicitor.

Richard Jepson – Solicitor Advocate
Having qualified as a barrister and then as a solicitor he is an exceptional criminal advocate appearing before the Crown Court on a daily basis. He also has experience of appearing in the Court of Appeal. He formerly lectured criminal law and jurisprudence at the University of Sheffield. He is a Duty Solicitor.

Richard Adams – Barrister
With 20 years experience dealing with serious criminal cases including murder, sexual offences and gang related crime. He qualified as a barrister in 2009 and appears in the Magistrates and Crown Courts. He is an Accredited Police Station Representative for many years.

Sean Barrett – Crown Court Advisor
Has over 25 years experience of preparing cases for Crown Court trials and has represented clients in murder, manslaughter and serious sexual offences. He has been an Accredited Police Station Representative for many years.

Dave Kaye – Crown Court Advisor
He has enormous experience in dealing with all aspects of criminal law work especially serious sexual matters and murder cases. He is an Accredited Police Station Representative and was one of the first in the country to qualify in this field.

Jayne Waters – Crown Court Advisor
Based in our Rotherham office she worked for many years in the court service. She has wide experience of preparing serious cases for Crown Court Trial.

Alexa Wortley – Police Station Advisor
Responsible for covering police stations where she has great experience in dealing with serious sexual offences and mental health issues. Over 45% of our clients who are arrested are released without charge. She is an Accredited Police Station Representative.

Bede McMillan – Police Station Advisor
A very experienced police station advisor. Presently working towards qualification as a Legal Executive.
